When teaching I consider it crucially important for students to study not only the language, but also cultural differences, as well as perception of multi-cultural environment. Globalization and integration mean that we live in an increasingly connected and interdependent world in which all of us compete and cooperate with each other. In this fast-changing environment, educational institutions have a crucial role to play in actively preparing students to cooperate with representatives of other nations for mutual learning and benefit though means of language. That is why for me it is particularly important to teach culturally competent communication to future decision makers and opinion formers.
