In my volunteer contribution I had to lead massive groups of children to do a specific sport activity with my classmates’ help. During my first year of university in Spain, I delivered several assessments in groups, which made me be proficient working with more people and enhance my ability to cope with diverse point of views and personalities.
Flexibility and attitude of self-growth
My first experience studying far from my native country (Spain) allowed turning myself into an easy-adapted person. I had to deal with people from a different culture and a different language, which made me resilient, capable to overcome issues and leave my comfort zone.
Planning and organizing
Professionally, I optimised mentioned skills during a match day during my placement in DCFC. I realised the importance that a proper organization has in a sport business environment not only to be productive and effective, but also to boost the whole team performance to achieve a common target. Personally, I always elaborate diary and seminal to-do lists according to my short and long terms objectives, which is wide helpful to avoid procrastination and be efficient.
Among my main duties during my voluntary period were to allocate the activity place, identify kind of material did we need and decide the roles for each team member during the activity. That means I had to develop an effective cooperation with all the organizers and volunteers of the event to carry out the event successfully. Moreover, I had to submit many team projects for different modules during my first university year in the UK, so communication between colleagues was essential to present them properly.
