Sobre Joannie
I am a 24-year-old French-Canadian citizen. I recently worked for a school board in Sept-Îles, Quebec, Canada, called la Commission scolaire du Fer as substitute teacher, as well as for a well-known self-employed stenographer as copyist.
This first employment as substitute teacher has involved teaching French and English to elementary students from various backgrounds. This second employment as copyist has involved transcribing court audios into textual information. And so, through time, I have developed even more confidence and skills in dealing with foreign languages in general.
My French is fluent, I speak and write reasonably good English and Spanish, and I can also handle business correspondence in all of these three languages.

I start from where the students are at: I first evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and then start building up their linguistic knowledge from there. I am convinced that one should master the basics before going any further. I really go according to what is already acquired, what is to be improved and what is left to be learned. I also use varied effective pedagogical approaches.
