Sobre Mary
I was brought up bilingual and then as a university student, I learned a third language. This experience gave me insight into two methods of language learning: naturally through regular use and sitting in a classroom with grammar-heavy lectures. While both aided in learning all three languages I found that natural use helped me to better ground the grammar rules than merely learning them in the classroom. Basically, if you are starting out in a language you need to be in a classroom learning the rules, vocabulary, and language structure but if you already have a grounding in the language natural use is what will bring proficiency. I can offer either type of class but am most interested in conversation classes. I have an American accent but have lived and worked in the UK for the past decade so am currently using British usage. I am also proficient in German if you are interested in that.

I have found that using language helps the student better understand correct grammatical use. In my classes, you will have the chance to maintain a regular, casual conversation that will increase your confidence in using the English language. I prefer to hold classes in the evenings or late afternoon because of other commitments.
