Sobre Teresa
I am Irish and a native English speaker. I am fluent in Spanish and spend most of the year in Almería with my dog Misty.
I started teaching English in the early 1990s. I took a break from teaching for a while and went back to college to become a chef. I am a foodie and love to talk about food and hear about people's experiences in their kitchens and favourite restaurants.
I went on to study Literature and Writing at university and now enjoy teaching English through literary book clubs, conversational lessons, helping non-native English speakers to edit their writing, and I also run creative writing workshops.

What is a Literary Book Club?
A literary book club is a group of people who come together regularly to discuss and analyse works of literature. We will read a chosen book each month and meet four times during each month to discuss various aspects of the book such as its themes, characters, writing style, and symbolism. Our club provides opportunities for us to engage in deeper exploration and appreciation of literature, share our perspectives, and gain insights from each other in a collaborative and relaxed setting.
I will send you a copy of the book we will read one week before we are due to meet for the first meeting for that book. Along with the copy of the book, I will provide you with any other written documents, such as essays, articles, or other books. I might also provide you with links to videos. With the copy of the book, you will receive a schedule for that book, how many chapters we will read each week, and what we will be discussing at each meeting. This will let you know in advance what to expect at each meeting and help you focus your reading each week.
