Sobre Jill
I have been teaching for many years and it gives me great pleasure to watch my students go from one level to the next and to pass exams (none of my students has ever failed an exam!) For those students with great difficulty in learning English, I go at their pace and ensure that something is learned each class. Apart from teaching, my areas of interests are reading, writing, technology, running, watching TV series and film and discussing current events. I also edit and publish an online literary review, The Barcelona Review.

I employ the 4 basics – reading, writing, listening, speaking – along with the integration of those basics, while also providing grammar lessons as needed. Depending on the level, I send newspaper links, videos, interesting articles, and recommend short stories or novels for reading along with TV series and films. For more advanced students, I help prepare for power point presentations and lectures. I do error correction, which I believe is important to break bad habits. And for conversation, I am open to whatever the students’ interests are. I listen with patience, offer encouragement and advice (and homework!). I create classes for each individual student, beginning with a level test for evaluation. My goal is to offer dynamic classes in which something new is learned each class.
