Hello! My name is April, and I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their health and well-being through yoga, Ayurveda, and nourishing food.
My desire to teach comes from my own healing journey. Years ago, I struggled with Crohn's disease and was told there was no cure. Through learning about plant-based nutrition, yoga, stress management, and Ayurveda, I transformed my health and discovered the incredible ability of the body to heal when given the right support.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to studying and sharing these practices. I love helping others feel more confident in the kitchen, more connected to their bodies through movement, and more empowered to care for themselves naturally.
I believe learning should be practical, enjoyable, and accessible to everyone. Whether we are cooking a healthy meal, practicing yoga, or exploring Ayurvedic principles, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel inspired and capable of making positive changes in their lives.
I look forward to sharing these passions with you and supporting you on your own wellness journey.
¡Hola! Mi nombre es April y me apasiona ayudar a las personas a reconectarse con su salud y bienestar a través del yoga, la alimentación basada en plantas y la sabiduría del Ayurveda.
Mi deseo de enseñar nace de mi propia experiencia de sanación. Hace años fui diagnosticada con la enfermedad de Crohn y me dijeron que no tenía cura. A través de cambios en mi alimentación, la práctica del yoga, el manejo del estrés y el Ayurveda, logré transformar mi salud y descubrir el increíble potencial que tiene el cuerpo para sanar cuando recibe el apoyo adecuado.
Desde entonces, he dedicado mi vida a estudiar y compartir estas herramientas con otras personas. Me encanta ayudar a mis estudiantes a sentirse más seguros en la cocina, más conectados con su cuerpo a través del movimiento y más empoderados para cuidar de su bienestar de forma natural.
Soy originaria de Canadá y vivo en Costa Rica desde 2013 junto a mi esposo costarricense y nuestras dos hijas. Mi formación en Educación y Kinesiología, junto con mis estudios en yoga, Ayurveda y cocina basada en plantas, me permiten ofrecer clases prácticas, accesibles y adaptadas a las necesidades de cada estudiante.
Creo que aprender debe ser una experiencia agradable, inspiradora y transformadora. Espero poder compartir mis pasiones contigo y acompañarte en tu propio camino hacia una vida más equilibrada y saludable.
