Hello! I’m a native English speaker from Canada, currently living in Spain. I’m a certified Primary/Junior teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children aged 4 to 14. I also hold qualifications in Special Education and English Language Learning (ELL). I live in Spain, where I’m currently learning Spanish, working part-time at a daycare, and tutoring online. I’ve been tutoring for the past six years and truly enjoy working one-on-one with students, helping them build confidence and develop a love of learning. My teaching style is fun, interactive, and student-led. I create a safe and supportive environment where learners feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and express themselves. Lessons are engaging and collaborative, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and active participation. I’m excited to work with your company because I value meaningful connections with students and appreciate your commitment to quality education. My approach as a private tutor is student-centered, engaging, and supportive. I aim to create a safe environment where learners feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and expressing themselves. I use a variety of interactive strategies, including visuals, games, and conversation-based activities, to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
In terms of methodology, I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. I incorporate techniques such as scaffolding, repetition, and Total Physical Response (TPR), especially with younger or beginner learners. I also focus on building confidence and encouraging active participation.
A typical lesson begins with a check-in and warm-up activity to review previous learning. This is followed by the introduction of a new concept, guided practice, and interactive tasks. The lesson ends with a consolidation activity to reinforce understanding and assess progress.
As a teacher, I bring over 10 years of experience working with children aged 4 to 14. I am a certified Primary/Junior teacher with qualifications in Special Education and English Language Learning (ELL), which allows me to support diverse learners effectively.
My classes are mainly aimed at children and young learners, from beginner to intermediate levels. I also have experience supporting students with additional learning needs and those who are new to English.
