Sobre James
When I am teaching, I get to witness the best version of myself that I have ever known.
I love to teach. I am kind, dynamic, flexible and compassionate. I am extremely empathetic to students needs and comprehension. This is in part due to my having had a difficult time as a young learner. I have never had a "bad" student and reject this concept. I place the responsibility of student engagement on the shoulders of myself as an educator.
I recognize students as being inherently curious and I see my role as a teacher to be one of channeling that curiosity. A disengaged student, in my eyes, is an opportunity for the institution, caregivers, and the teachers to find an appropriate strategy to serve the needs of the individual or group. I embrace these challenges.
Our jobs, as teachers, are that of assistants. We assist young people on their journey from infancy to adulthood. I consider this to be a profound privilege, and I am honored to have this opportunity in my work.
Whilst primary a Language, Media studies, Drama and Technology teacher, I focus on the use of compassionate communication, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, student empowerment through discussion, kindness and the expression of authenticity.

Practical, fun - my classes use roleplay and theatre. I have been working as a drama teacher with ages from kindergarten to adults. I have a certTESOL and can teach from beginner to advanced. I also speak spanish which can be useful.
