Sobre Naomi
I have an honours degree in Biochemistry. I have experience demonstrating biochemistry labs to both college and secondary level students. I am currently demonstrating labs and have been so for the last year. I love teaching and find it very rewarding. I have volunteered in secondary schools in Ireland in many throughout the four years of my degree, I would help the teenagers with there English, maths, general science, chemistry and biology homework. This was a homework club set up for students going to schools that were in disadvantaged area's.
I have been doing conversation practice with people in the cork English college for the past 6 months, as I got a TEFL course online last August.
Two summers ago, I spent 2 months as an au pair in Montpellier in the south of France, I was speaking with the children in English and would do a few hours of written practise a week with them also.

My teaching method is to look at the topic at hand and make it as simple as possible to understand and not make it boring so the student stops paying attention. I like to make my class fun and a bit different so I can hold the attention of the students. By really understanding the topic that I'm speaking about I am able to do this, I break it down into its fundamental parts and then use different methods to make it memorable so they don't forget. I think by using visual images, alongside spoken repetition and writing and making clever ways to get the brain to remember it can be a fun process.
