Hi! My name is Aliyah, and I’m a language teacher with experience teaching both English and Spanish to children and adults from different backgrounds. I’m originally from Ireland, and I’ve always been passionate about languages, communication, and cultural exchange. I’ve seen how learning a new language can open doors, build confidence, and connect people in powerful ways. That’s why I love teaching—it’s not just about grammar or vocabulary, it’s about helping people express themselves, understand others, and grow. I enjoy creating fun, supportive, and engaging lessons that adapt to each student’s pace and interests. Whether you’re learning for school, travel, work, or personal goals, I want to help make your journey enjoyable and meaningful. In my future classes, I plan to use a dynamic and student-centered approach, adapting to each learner’s goals, level, and interests. My lessons will balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a strong focus on real communication and confidence-building. I will include writing exercises that help students practise different verb tenses in context, such as writing short stories, personal journals, dialogues, or mini-essays. These activities will support grammar learning in a practical way, allowing students to use new structures actively rather than just memorizing them. For children, I’ll use creative methods like songs, games, and visuals to keep lessons fun and engaging. For adults, I’ll focus more on real-life application—whether for work, travel, or personal growth. I also plan to use digital tools like videos, interactive worksheets, and online resources tailored to each student’s level. My goal is to create a positive, flexible environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, learning at their own pace, and enjoying the process.
