Hello there :) So you want to learn German... A challenging language, or maybe not so difficult after all... I've done it, so I know you can do it too. With the right guidance, motivation and support, you can do it! I'm Ana Guerra, an aspiring author for adventure and science fiction short tales and novels. I taught English for 8 years and have been teaching German for 3 years now. I'm a conversational coach for B1-B2 levels, and a course creator at present. I have lived in Spain, Poland, in the US, and Mexico. I'm skilled in song-making, vocal performance and orchestration. I've become a Language Learning Specialist out of genuine passion, from my own autodidact experience, as well as a means to support my dream career. I originally studied Physics, but I switched careers and became a certified Spanish Teacher by Instituto Cervantes in 2017, then I earned an English Teaching Diploma by International House Madrid. I'm now C2 Certified in German by Goethe Institut (2025), C2 Certified in English by Cambridge Assessment (2020), and currently developing my own German Courses for self-directed learners, alongside with developing other creative skills. I've learned both languages to a proficient, productive level fully as a self-taught learner. I'll be happy to meet you and know your background, too!

I come from Galicia, in Spain. In my home country I have worked as a German teacher and translator, in different schools as well as in two private universities. I have taught people in different age groups and fields, mostly engineering and IT. I have also worked remotely as a German interpreter in the medical field. Each lesson consists of useful real-life content, guided speaking exercises and a detailed lesson report with feedback and recommended links or activities to encourage and facilitate further practice and self-study. Each student is different, my job is to find out what is best for you. My job is not to only give you tips and recommendations as most teachers do, but to actually DO the job with you, with hands-on practice. Ideally, you will learn first: 1 - How to master the sounds of German. Without a solid pronunciation foundation from the beginning, there's a tendency to drag along bad habits that will demotivate you in the long run. 2 - All the basic, fundamental structures in German, get familiarized with all most used words and constructions, by building naturally your own, using various contexts and topics. 3- Will learn how to take control of your own learning, how to even monitor and correct yourself regardless of level, how to use materials you find, and to lose the fear of the language.
