Sobre Jeshell Beaj
I'm Bea, an English teacher from the Philippines now living in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. My love for the English language started long before I made it my career — back in university, I was already drawn to literature, communication, and the way language connects people across cultures. That passion led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in English Language, and later, a Master's in Teaching, so I could turn that love into real skills I could pass on to others.
What drives me most is watching a student go from hesitant to confident — that moment when they stop translating in their head and just start speaking naturally. I've seen it happen with young learners in bilingual classrooms in Madrid, and it never stops feeling rewarding. English opened doors for me — academically, professionally, and personally, moving across the world to build a new life here in Spain — and I want to help my students experience that same sense of possibility.
Teaching isn't just something I studied; it's something I genuinely love doing. I want to share not only the language itself, but the confidence, curiosity, and joy that come with truly understanding and expressing yourself in a new language. That's the passion I bring into every lesson.

I like to think of my lessons as a mix of structure and heart. Having taught both young children in Spanish primary schools and adult learners, I've learned that real progress happens when students feel safe to make mistakes and curious enough to keep trying.
Here's what a lesson with me usually looks like:
- We start with real conversation — I want you talking from day one, not just memorizing rules.
- I break grammar down simply, using examples from everyday life so it actually sticks.
- We work on pronunciation together, with lots of repetition and gentle correction (no judgment, ever!).
- I bring in materials that match your world — your job, hobbies, age group, or exam needs.
- Every lesson ends with encouragement, because confidence is half the battle in learning a new language.
I've spent years in classrooms — as a secretary handling academic operations, a student teacher, and now a full-time English teacher — so I understand both the big picture of language learning and the small daily wins that keep students motivated. My goal is simple: to make you feel proud of your progress, one lesson at a time.
