Sobre Carolina
My educational background includes a major in Languages and several extra courses in the field of TESOL and ESL/EFL, including a CELTA with a passing grade B awarded in September 2015.
I have a large experience in English teaching as well as in coordinating teachers' teams. I believe in team work, I’m flexible concerning work shifts, I’m a responsible professional and on the top of that, I’m an easygoing person with interpersonal relationship skills.
I’ve had the chance to work as a translator and interpreter with a group of American missionaries who came to Brazil back in 2013, as they were traveling around the country and none of them could speak Portuguese properly. It was a very enriching experience that made me grow in the knowledge of both languages (Portuguese and English).

I use communicative approaches to Language teaching, because it makes it easier for learners to understand the context and the usage of structures. The main focus of my General course is English for everyday communication, which is the most basic need of most people who look for classes. However, I have courses focused on Business English, Exam Preparation (PET, KET, FCE, CAE, IELTS, etc) and Specific Purposes, such as English for Waiters, Doctors, etc.
