Sobre Laura
I'm a Colombian girl who studies Law and Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes. Throughout my life I have learned English and deepened my theoretical knowledge of Spanish. So, this has allowed me to meet new people and places around the world and has also given me many academic and work opportunities. On the other hand, in addition to being a student, I'm an English and Spanish coach because I'm passionate about contributing to the learning of new cultures and communication channels such as languages. As a student of Law and Anthropology, and also as an English coach, I have found that the Thinking Based Learning methodology is a tool that allows us to contextualize, analyze, relate, argue and convert information into knowledge and thinking skills that go beyond the ordinary memorization. For this reason, both in my English and Spanish classes, I use this methodology adapted to the level of my students and their needs in order to achieve positive and effective results in learning a non-mother tongue. As a native English speaker, I have found that Laura’s classes are extremely efficient in helping me with my goal of becoming fluent in Spanish. Her classes always have plenty of energy and it is evident that she truly cares and genuinely wants to help people expand their knowledge. I have always been interested in Colombian culture and I feel so lucky to have found Laura as my Spanish teacher because she represents everything positive I have always heard about their culture. Extremely nice, caring and generous. I would recommend anybody to learn Spanish from Laura!
