Teaching Spanish language was the natural corollary from my experience as a teaching associate in the School of Modern Languages at Newcastle University, in the United Kingdom, as I was led to understand and learn about diverse ways to teach and learn a language. I have confirmed the importance of adapting to learning styles while perceiving how students feel in the language learning process, and further developed skills on how to encourage and support them. This includes planning lessons to make each class effective, interesting and fun, which has been a goal throughout my career.
I have a Doctorate and Master Degree in Philosophy of Language from the University of Barcelona, Spain. I am originally from Mexico, where I graduated in philosophy from the University of Mexico (UNAM). With over ten years of teaching experience in Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil, I volunteered in assisting English teaching for beginners in a registered Charity in the UK for the past year, while my partner pursues her Ph.D. studies in Newcastle University. In my work with this Charity I gained not only in situ experience teaching a language, but also skills from training tailored for this purpose. Teaching Spanish language was the natural corollary from this experience, as I was led to understand and learn about diverse ways to teach and learn a language.
