Hello, I am an English speaker from Canada now living in Patagonia Chile, and have learned first-hand how hard it can be to learn a new language. I am a mother to children of two languages. I have had to help them with their struggles to master the two languages. I also love to read, sew, and crochet. We do many trips in nature whether with our horses, walking, or on a boat. We also live on a small farm with a variety of animals.

A classroom should be a safe and caring environment where learners are free to speak their minds and grow.
I am new to teaching English as a second language, but I have learned a lot by throwing myself into an all-Spanish environment with no prior knowledge.
I have completed a bachelor's degree in history from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as a diploma in information technology from the same university. I am now completing as many different TEFL-style courses to obtain a wide range of teaching styles. I completed a 40-hour course from TEFLHERO.com and now a 120-hour course from Udemy.com
Some strategies to use and keep in mind during classes;

Teach language skills across all curriculum topics
Speak normally and be patient
Prioritize "productive language"
Use a variety of methods to engage in learning
