Sobre Josue
I am a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, deeply interested in language, culture, and real human communication. My own experience learning English has helped me understand what it really feels like to study another language: the insecurity of speaking, the difficulty of thinking in a different language, and the satisfaction of noticing small but meaningful progress through constant practice.
I consider myself a patient, observant, and creative person. I enjoy explaining things clearly, listening carefully, and adapting my teaching style to each student’s personality, goals, and needs. I believe that learning Spanish is not only about memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules; it is also about understanding how people speak in everyday life, how emotions are expressed, and how culture shapes the language.
I am also interested in writing, reading, music, art, and Mexican urban life, which allows me to bring different topics into the lessons and make conversation more natural and engaging. I like to create a calm, respectful, and friendly environment where students can practice without being afraid of making mistakes.
As a private tutor, I want to help English speakers discover a useful, living, and authentic Spanish: a Spanish they can use to travel, have conversations, work, make friends, or connect more deeply with Mexican culture. My goal is to guide each student with patience, clarity, and confidence throughout their learning process.

I became interested in private tutoring because I believe that learning a language should not feel cold, mechanical, or intimidating. As a native Spanish speaker from Mexico and a constant English learner myself, I understand many of the challenges English speakers face when learning Spanish: pronunciation, confidence when speaking, the difference between formal Spanish and real everyday Spanish, and the fear of making mistakes.
My lessons focus on practical communication. I work with guided conversation, useful vocabulary, gentle correction, pronunciation practice, and real-life situations. I like to adapt each lesson to the student’s pace, level, interests, and goals, so the learning process feels clear, natural, and personalized.
During the class, we can practice topics such as introducing yourself, having basic conversations, talking about likes and interests, work, travel, Mexican culture, common expressions, pronunciation, and listening comprehension. I can also help with writing, reading, basic or intermediate grammar, and conversation practice to build fluency.
My classes are mainly designed for beginner and intermediate English speakers who want to learn Mexican Spanish in a practical, relaxed, and culturally authentic way. I do not want students to simply memorize rules without meaning; I want them to start using the language with security, patience, and confidence.
My goal is for every student to feel that they can move forward step by step, make mistakes without fear, and discover that Spanish is not only something you study: it is something you live, hear, feel, and speak.

Precisiones
My hourly rate includes the lesson itself, personalized practice, guided conversation, gentle correction, and basic learning materials prepared according to the student’s level and goals.
There are no extra costs for online lessons. If the student needs specific materials, books, or additional resources, we can discuss them in advance, but they are not required to start learning.
For in-person lessons, any possible extra cost, such as transportation or a specific meeting place, can be discussed beforehand. My goal is to keep the process clear, flexible, and fair for each student.
The first lesson can be used to understand the student’s level, goals, interests, and learning needs, so we can create a practical and comfortable plan together.
