I'm a 67-year-old man from Kelowna, BC, Canada. I've always enjoyed reading. I began teaching ESL in Iuna, Brazil back in 2011. At the time, I was teaching 2 classes of children, 2 adult classes, and 2 separate tutoring jobs. I was there for 2 months. I went to Thailand in 2012 and volunteered at a public school for 2 months. Since then, I've tutored on the island of Roatan, Honduras for several years. In 2019, I boosted my teaching skills and finished a 190 hr. TEFL course in Costa Rica. I'm currently living in Santa Elena.

I focus on STT [student talking time] as opposed to TTT [teacher talking time]. I graduated from TEFL course in late 2019 and my methodology includes listening, reading, writing, speaking, and some spelling. I ask my students to read a lot and I will elicit some English while tutoring. I also like to correct errors in real time. I'm available to teach at all levels.
