Sobre LEIGH
I was born in the New York metropolitan area and have been fascinated by foreign language since I was a child. I have studied many but learned that I do not become competent in a language unless I am in an "authentic" communicative situation - meaning I am using the language for more than passing a test.
I have two bachelors - both related to languages, as well as a master's in the teaching of English. I was recruited for a two-year stint at the Tec de Monterrey, but I decided that Mexico is where I need to be - so I am still here 20 years later.
My greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that what I teach is helpful to a student's goals and dreams.

I am a English language professional from the United States with a MA in teaching English, and bachelor's in Spanish and linguistics. I have taught academic and advanced English classes in the U.S. and the Tec de Monterrey for more than 20 years.
I firmly believe that advanced learners need different strategies, open-ended and creative assignments and projects that are tailored to the needs of the student in the real world.
