Sobre Jaime
I am a teacher with experience teaching Spanish as an Additional Language (SAL) and English as an Additional Language (EAL), with a technical background in Psychopedagogy.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults. This has helped me understand that every student has a different learning pace, strengths, challenges, and way of processing a new language.
I am a patient, responsible, and committed teacher. I believe that learning a language should take place in a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel free to ask questions, have conversations, practice, and make mistakes without feeling embarrassed or pressured.
My background in Psychopedagogy complements my teaching experience by helping me pay close attention to each student's individual learning needs. If one explanation does not work, I am willing to approach the same concept in a different way until the student understands it.
As a native Spanish speaker from Panama, I can also help you understand the Spanish that people actually use in everyday life. We can work on natural expressions, vocabulary, pronunciation, and real-life communication while also developing a solid foundation in grammar, reading, and writing.
My lessons are prepared and personalized according to your goals and learning pace. Whether you want to learn Spanish from scratch, improve your conversational skills, travel, work or live in a Spanish-speaking country, or simply feel more confident communicating in Spanish, I will be happy to guide you through the learning process.
My goal is not only to teach you Spanish, but to help you feel comfortable using it in real life.

My teaching approach is based on practice, conversation, and progressive learning. I have experience teaching Spanish as an Additional Language (SAL) and a background in Psychopedagogy, which helps me identify each student's needs and adapt the lessons to their learning pace and individual way of learning.
I don't focus only on memorizing grammar rules. My goal is to help students understand Spanish and use it in real-life situations: introducing themselves, having conversations, shopping, asking for directions, communicating at work, traveling, or simply feeling more comfortable living in a Spanish-speaking country.
A typical lesson may include:
• Conversation and review of previous material
• Introduction of new vocabulary
• Simple explanations of grammar and sentence structure
• Pronunciation and listening comprehension
• Reading and writing according to the student's level
• Dialogues and real-life situations
• Error correction and guided practice
As a teacher, I am patient and like to create a comfortable environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions, and practice without feeling pressured. I believe that making mistakes is a natural and necessary part of learning a new language.
My lessons are designed for beginner and intermediate foreign students, including children, teenagers, and adults. Lessons can be adapted for students who need Spanish for everyday life, travel, work, study, or simply to improve their conversational skills.
I can also use English as a support language for beginners, making it easier to understand Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures before gradually increasing the amount of Spanish used during our lessons.
