After nearly a decade of teaching English I got really burnt out and decided I would either have to teach my way or find another profession. You see, in private language academies, the most interesting topics (religion, sex, politics, etc.) are always off-limits. That’s because giant corporations try to be as generically appealing as possible. Which means the course content is not only boring, but also prevents you from speaking to native teachers the way that we speak to each other. We curse. We use slang. We bitch about politics. And that’s what I’m bringing to you through Dirty English: a traditional English language course with very non-traditional content.
