Sobre Minki
I bring over five years of teaching experience to my Korean language tutoring, having developed and refined my methods while completing both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Missouri State University. My teaching approach is rooted in a blend of innovative and traditional techniques, including digital media, comprehensive textbooks, and cultural immersion, ensuring a rounded and effective learning experience.
Classes are conducted entirely in English, making them accessible to beginners and ensuring a smooth learning transition for non-Korean speakers. My goal is to make learning Korean enjoyable and enriching by integrating cultural insights that enhance the practical use of the language.

Teaching Techniques and Methodology: My teaching style blends structured curriculum with interactive, conversational practice. I believe in engaging students through a mix of multimedia resources—such as videos, music, and articles—to enrich vocabulary and understanding of cultural contexts. Each lesson is tailored to the student's personal learning style, whether it be visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
Example of a Class Programme: For a beginner-level class, we might start with the fundamentals of Hangul (the Korean alphabet), including proper pronunciation and basic phrases. As we progress, a typical lesson could include a short dialogue practice to enhance conversational skills, followed by a grammar exercise, and wrapping up with a fun quiz using Korean pop culture references to boost engagement and enjoyment.
Particularities as a Teacher: I strive to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. My background in managing multicultural teams uniquely positions me to address diverse learning needs and to facilitate a deeper understanding of Korean language and etiquette, which is especially beneficial for students looking to use their skills professionally or in a business context.
