Laura is a wonderful Spanish teacher. As well as learning the rules and practicing conversation, classes incorporate games and puzzles and media which makes them fun and also activates different ways of remembering and engaging with the language. Laura is also very creative and generous with her time and knowledge, she has created worksheets when I have been confused around a particular topic which has really helped me to understand and incorporate concepts and expressions that I had previously avoided using. I recommend her to anyone looking for a Spanish teacher. I could have written this in Spanish... but you will need a few classes before you will understand it :) Good luck with your studies.

Laura puede ser flexible tanto como con los horarios como con el lugar donde dar las clases. Y adapta las lecciónes según mis necesidades. Las clases son siempre interesantes y amenas. La recomiendo totalmente!

Yo conocí a Laura hace año porque estaba buscando profe de Castellano. Casi no hablaba el Castellano cuando empezamos las clases, y en un año aprendi muchisimo del idioma. Hoy en el día utilizo el Castellano casi mas que el Ingles, mi idioma materno, y hablo con facilidad. Laura es una professora que sabe enseñar de una manera personalizada para cada estudiante. Enseña el idioma como tu quieres aprenderlo. Utiliza una combinacion de clases de gramaticas y de conversacion, especificamente escogidos pare el nivel del estudiante y sus planes para como quiere utilizar el idioma. Es una profesora que te guia desde tu zona de confort hasta un sitio donde te sientes comodo/a hablando el idioma. Te ayuda a superar los obstaculos que no te dejan hablar el idioma con facilidad. Te hace sentir comoda con el idioma. Ademas es una persona muy interesante y inteligente con quien se puede hablar de muchas temas, que facilita muchisimo el apredizaje de un idioma.

I met Laura about a year ago, when I was looking for someone to teach me Castilian (Spanish). I almost didn't speak any Spanish when we began classes, and in one year of classes only I learned an enormous amount of the language. Nowadays I speak Spanish with ease and use it almost more than I use my native English. Laura is the kind of professor that has a very personalized approach to teaching, designing all the classes to fit you and your preferred way to learn and use the language. She uses a great combination of grammar classes and conversational classes, specifically designed to match the level of the student and his/her desired preference for knowing the language (casual, professional, literary). She is the professor that guides you out of your comfort zone to a place where you feel at ease speaking the language. She helps you overcome obstacles which present a language barrier. She makes you feel at ease with the language. On top of that Laura is a very intelligent and interesting person, with a diverse personality and interests, which are extremely helpful in conversational situations as she is able to discuss a range of topics that interest you personally, and this way really facilitates you the learning of the language.

Laura es una excelente profesora. Sus clases son amenas y divertidas, el tiempo pasa volando mientras aprendes. Ha conseguido que un negado para los idiomas como yo, vaya aprendiendo ingles a pasos agigantados. Incluso fuera de las horas lectivas esta contigo para ayudarte y aconsejarte para que puedas mejorar día a día.

Laura is the best Spanish teacher I ever had. She was recommended to me by a friend and I can recommend her to everyone. Her English is very very good so she can explain things in English you don't understand in Spanish. She's worth every cent, really!
