Hey there! I'm Camila Hernández — a translator by passion and someone who genuinely loves sharing how beautiful (and fun!) the Spanish language can be — especially with that unique Chilanga vibe! I’m also a business administrator by profession, and over time, I’ve found a way to bring both of my passions together: teaching and translating. I’ve been doing this for about 3 years now — maybe not a lifetime, but definitely some of the most rewarding years so far! I’ve worked translating from Spanish to English and vice versa, even with people who had zero knowledge of the language. So how did I manage? Let’s just say creativity, patience, and experience go a long way. I’ve taught students from all over the world — China, Germany, the U.S., and more — some starting completely from scratch, others with a bit of a head start. No matter the level, I believe learning should be fun, relaxed, and something you actually look forward to. If you’re looking for chill, personalized classes with good energy (and a teacher who actually gets what it's like to learn a new language), I’d love to help you out!

My teaching style is all about adapting to each student’s specific needs. I use active methods with real-life examples, guided exercises, and step-by-step explanations to make things clear and easy to follow. How my classes go really depends on your level and what you’re aiming to achieve. I usually start with a quick evaluation to figure out your strengths and what we need to work on. Then, I create a personalized plan based on your goals, your schedule, and your pace — and we build it together! Here’s how my method works: 1. Initial Assessment We start by figuring out your current level, asking about your goals (like why you want to learn Spanish), and checking your listening, speaking, and vocabulary skills. 2. Personalized Plan We’ll set short- and long-term goals (like being able to hold a basic conversation in 2 months), pick topics that are interesting and useful for you, and use extra resources to support your learning. 3. Teaching Techniques I use lots of visuals (images, videos, mind maps), role-playing, and real-life situations. And we start speaking Spanish from day one! 4. Class Structure Warm-up (5–10 min): Quick review of the last lesson and a short conversation. Main part (30–40 min): New content + practice (speaking and writing). Wrap-up (10 min): Quick review, answer questions, and give a small optional task. 5. Ongoing Feedback & Flexibility We check in regularly on how you're doing and adjust the plan if needed — it’s a two-way street!
