• 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  From the time I was young, I have loved learning and appreciated the great teachers who opened new worlds for me. It's the only career I ever considered because I genuinely want to follow their example and, now, in my turn, instill a joy of learning in my own students. There's no job more important than teaching the future leaders of our world the information they need to know, but more importantly, showing them their worth, potential, and the ability to form their own opinions by thinking critically and observing the world around them.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  As an experienced English teacher, I'm passionate about making my lessons relatable. In many cases, when a student can't identify with the material, it's harder for them to gather meaning. My goal is to help students empathize with each concept and also allow them to draw their own conclusions. I am incredibly motivated to introduce my teaching strategies. I feel confident that I could help students improve their scores and opportunities for success.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  I believe students want their teachers to be dedicated and approachable, and they can tell when a teacher possesses these qualities. If students know you're working hard and want to support them as they learn, they're more likely to succeed. For this reason, I keep an open-door policy at all times and strive to build rapport with each student.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My high school English teacher had a significant impact on my life. She took the time to explain the material in a way that made sense to me and helped me understand that every form of intelligence is equally valuable.

• What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are to make each training session as interactive as possible. I believe that an interactive curriculum is most memorable. I use tactics such as role-playing and competitive quiz games. I also help students' build independent study habits as this prepares them for college and university courses' demands.
